When can you deliver it?
Check what is possible and when.
Possible review: adjective + noun groups (an old black suitcase), singular and plural nouns (one chair / two chairs), and time expressions (at four / by five / today).

Ask for the order number and listen to the problem. Answer one question at a time. Let the caller ask about alternatives and delivery. Offer a choice if they need help. Check what size table the crew needs. Use only the stock and times below.

Delivery and collection
You can deliver today at 12 noon or 3 pm. Collect both delivered cups and the square table when you deliver. The crew keeps the umbrella.
Useful replies: “I’m sorry about that.” · “We have …” · “Would … be OK?” · “We can deliver at …”
Check the final agreement
Send 2 matching white OR blue cups and 1 small round table at 12 noon today. Keep the black umbrella. Collect both delivered cups and the large square table.
The cups do not match and the table is the wrong size and shape. The umbrella is correct. The colour of the cups can change. The table’s size and shape cannot.
Before you finish: Ask the learner to write in Your agreement on the extra task page and read it back. Use that one copy.
EXTRA PRACTICE / A second delivery
New delivery. Same useful language.
Check this new order. Call the supplier, then check your final items and time.
The crew is making a new scene this afternoon. Check a different delivery. Call the same hire shop and agree on what it will send.
What you need
- The two cups must match. Any colour is OK.
- The table must be small and round. There is very little space.
- The black umbrella is correct. Keep it.
Everything must arrive by 1 pm today.
Check the order and delivery
Also on the learner page: Your agreement. After the order table, the learner has two writing fields: The shop will send and Delivery day and time. Ask them to write there and read the plan back.
