Group and partner maker

Make pairs or groups from your class list. Change partners when the next activity needs it.

With an odd number, Pairs makes one group of three. Everyone takes part.

When this helps

Use pairs for peer review or a discussion. Use groups for a shared task. If the next activity needs different partners, make another round when you are ready.

You choose which students are present and make the final decision. Random grouping does not decide the best teaching method for your class.

Round 1

Rename a student

The student keeps their partner history. Earlier rounds keep the old displayed name.

Edit group

Changes apply to this round. Removing a student keeps their name on your class list and does not change attendance. Attendance controls who joins new rounds.

Choose a name from another group to move that student here. A new name also joins your class list. Group sizes can change; keep-apart rules still apply.
