File help
Import TXT, CSV, or an ECQ backup. CSV files need a name column. Imports add to this list.
A comma in a pasted name stays part of the name. For students with the same name, add initials: Alex R. and Alex K.
Use a class saved in the Group Maker on this site, or import its downloaded backup. This copies names only, with all students marked present.
Save or open a class
Saves names only. To keep attendance and results, download a backup.
Where is my work saved?
Work stays in this open page until you save or download it. Browser saves can be lost if you clear this site’s data, close a private window, or the browser removes unused data. Keep a downloaded backup.
Wheel and “pick later” are for one name at a time.

This round
Names selected in this round. A name marked “later” will be picked after the other waiting names.
Using the picker in class
Paste your list, mark absences, and pick a name. Each available name has the same chance. With no repeats on, a selected name stays out until you start a new round.
Use “Pick this name later” if a student needs more time. They stay available after the other waiting names. Undo reverses the last action, including a pick, list edit, or new round. It does not change a saved class file.
For a presentation order, choose “All remaining names, in order” under “How many names?”. A draw never selects the same name twice, even when repeats between draws are on.
Names are processed on your device. This tool does not send class lists to a server. A random selection is not a record of participation or progress.
For pairs and groups, use the Group and Partner Maker.
