1. Set up your tournamentNames & arrangement

Open a name-list CSV, Group Maker, Name Picker, or Seating Chart file. Imports use individual names.

Shuffle the names once when you create the bracket.

Additional settings

The two semifinal losers play for third place. Requires at least 4 entrants.

TRY AN EXAMPLE

One loss ends a team’s chance of winning the tournament. A bye means advancing without playing, so the next round has the right number of teams.

How it works

Choose a matchup, then select the winner. Scores are optional. A bye means a team advances without playing. Seeded mode spreads the highest-ranked teams across the bracket; it does not pair adjacent names.

You can correct a result by reopening its matchup. Any later results depending on that match will be cleared, with confirmation. Undo restores the previous tournament state.

For a class book vote, enter book titles as the teams and select the class’s choice each round. All students can vote in every matchup.

Print the bracket before playing for a blank worksheet, or afterward to include the results. Use your browser’s Save as PDF destination. For larger brackets, the printout separates rounds to keep names readable.
