About the site

ESL Conversation Questions brings together discussion questions, grammar practice, textbook questions, and classroom activities for English teachers.

Use the questions as a starting point. Give students room to follow an interesting idea and make the conversation their own.

About Larry Pitts

I'm Larry Pitts, the author behind ESL Conversation Questions. I taught English to children, adults, and university students in Japan and South Korea between 2004 and 2016.

I taught university students at Yonsei University in Wonju, South Korea, from March 2010 to February 2016. Before that, I taught adults and children in language schools in Korea and Japan.

I earned my CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) in October 2009.

My books

I write classroom resource books as Larry W. Pitts. My books include 1,000 Conversation Questions, 500 Grammar Based Conversation Questions, and ESL Role Plays. You can find them in the ECQ Publishing catalog.

I also wrote an IELTS preparation book. It is now out of print because I did not want to keep selling an outdated guide.
