1. Add words and clues
One per line: word, clue. You can also paste two spreadsheet columns.
List format and CSV help
You can add a word without a clue and edit it later. If the word has a comma, put the whole word in quotes: "yes, please", A polite reply. Commas in clues are fine. CSV files from Bingo, Crossword, Matching Worksheets, Word Search, and Word Scramble work here. This tool's CSV works in those tools too. Import adds words. If a word already has a different clue, edit that word before you import the CSV.

The CSV keeps the words and clues so you can edit them later. It does not keep print settings.

2. Prepare your cards

Use the cards in class
Show a clue and ask learners to recall the word, or show the word and ask them to explain it. Learners can check the other side after they answer. A blank clue makes one side of a card empty, so add clues before you download the cards.
Your list, PDF, and DOCX are made in this browser. The tool does not send your words to ECQ. Use the CSV to keep a word list that you can change in this tool.
