These are ECQ example words and clues. Edit them for your class.

Already made a set in Vocabulary Bingo? Import its word-list CSV here. Both tools use word,clue. You can also take this tool's CSV back to Bingo.

Import adds new words. A matching word with a different clue stops the whole import; your list stays as it was.

CSV safety note

Both ECQ tools use the same word-list CSV. They add a safety mark to words and clues that start with =, +, @, or -. When you import an ECQ CSV, the tools remove that mark.

Copy both columns from a spreadsheet and paste them here: word in the first column, clue in the second. You can also enter one word per line and add clues later.

CSV files keep words and clues. They do not keep the print settings. Keep a copy of the CSV if you want to edit this set later.

2. Prepare your cards

Lighter text may show through thin paper less. Dark text is better for some cards and printers. Print a test sheet to check the result.

Show card numbers and FRONT/BACK labelsUse these marks if you want help matching the two sides. Cards print without them by default.

A4, fold cards. Print one side. Use Actual Size if the cut lines fit on your paper. If they are clipped, choose Fit. Cut each strip, then fold on the dotted line.

The preview and downloads use the same PDF pages. Check the text and page size before printing. The print test PDF contains the first page, or the first front/back pair.

Use the cards in class

Show a clue and ask learners to recall the word, or show the word and ask them to explain it. Learners can check the other side after they answer. A blank clue makes one side of a card empty, so add clues before you make the PDF.

Your list and PDF are made in this browser. The tool does not send your words to ECQ. A PDF is for printing; the CSV is the file to keep if you want to edit the list again.
