Teaching reference
Books that will make you an awesome teacher
These are books I recommend for English teachers. Check the exact edition, format, and included materials before you buy.
Methodology
These books teach teachers how to teach. We know you are probably a great teacher, but these books will help you become even better! They go into depth about different teaching methods as well as where and how to use those teaching methods. These are great for teachers who are just starting out or experienced teachers who want to expand their horizons a bit.
Grammar Reference Books
We all know how fun grammar is! Wait, you don't like grammar? Okay, let's be realistic, most ESL/EFL teachers don't like grammar (myself included). That is why you need these books, they go through English grammar and explain it point by point so you will be able to answer even the most difficult grammar questions from your students.
Grammar Practice Books
Grammar practice books combine explanations with exercises. They can help you review a grammar point or plan practice for a lesson. Check each book's copying permissions before sharing its exercises.
Books Written by my Colleague
Here are two books written by my colleague and excellent ESL teacher Greg Smith. Greg is a dedicated and hard working teacher who I worked with for many years and so am happy to recommend his two books.
Some older editions were sold with discs. Do not assume that old disc software will work on your current device. Check the seller's edition and format details.
